the end of November 2008, Benchmade discovered the
defamatory statement on Roadsideimports LLC website
AssistedKnife.com under the heading "Cheap Shit Warning"
The following false and defamatory statement about plaintiff Benchmade on one of Roadsideimports websites:
Except for Benchmade they suck, they are a dishonest company who lie to Americans, they steal German Designs and Designs from US Custom Knife Makers and run to the US Patent Office. They sell stolen designs. They use materials from other countries. They bully knife makers and knife sellers and use their corporate power to be BENCHMADE THE AMERICAN CORPORATE
SCUMBAG. They produce CHEAP SHIT
and it is OVERPRICED JUNK. BENCHMADE SUCKS.
While some of the
assertions in this statement may be protected commercial speech, other
assertions are actionable trade libel under Zenith Corp. v. ExzecTouchsystems
Inc 182 F.3d 1340, 1347-48 (Fed. Cir 1999).For instance, the allegation that
plaintiff Benchmade lies and sells stolen designs is false, likely to deceive knife purchasers, material to purchasing decisions, and likely to result in injury in the form of lost sales. Id. Benchmade should be allowed to include its new claims for defamation and trade libel in the lawsuit against Roadsideimports

Benchmade has listened to me and after I posted this video and made solid proof that a dagger blade is not a knife that any law enforcement officer would use because a dagger is primarily designed to do one thing "STAB". Police offices don’t have the habit of "Stabbing" people or having this in their job description.
Benchmade’s Reckless Claims of the Infidel have been brought to light because of my actions and now they have began to sell the Infidel with drop point blades. All highly due to what I stated in my video and my claims to false advertising issues.
This still does not excuse them as marketing it falsely to begin with but does prove that what I stated was completely the truth and that Benchmade had no choice other than to change this issue.
Don’t be fooled this still is not a tactical combat knife for the military either because ask anyone in the Armed Forces that only a FIXED BLADE such as a KaBar or the military issue BAYONET would be used in a combat situation concerning hand to hand combat. Don’t believe me call the Recruiters Office and ask them yourself.
Still don’t be deceived the Infidel is still of poor construction and has a poor design on the spring mechanism and if a spring is poor when you receive the knife you can count on it failing over time.
