#59 (.041") Tungsten Carbide drill bits are used for drilling spring holes in pre-hardened blades.

These have a standard 1/8" shaft and a needle sharp drill point.

These should be used in a drill press or CNC drilling machine as the end will break if used in any hand held drill because Carbide does break with side to side motion.

They work just fine in a hand held dril but that is a risk you will have to take if you are nutty enough to try itl but they work best in a drill press so if you got one I suggest you use it.
