7/16 & 3/8 Cutter Bits & Arbor Shaft Combo Set used for cutting the cavity needed for a coil spring pocket on an automatic or switchblade knife.
This is everything you need to make a 7/16 or 3/8 channel to convert a standard button lock into an automatic switchblade knife.
This cutter provides fast, accurate, burr-free holes in aluminum, steel, and composite materials.
Whatever the handle material is these bits can bore the channel that you need to insert a coil spring and convert a standard button lock into an automatic switchblade knife.
This annular cutting tool allows you to cut around the edge of the hole and keep the center for the pivot area.
They have a spring loaded pilot point to easily guide the cutting process, which allows an accurate and precise virtually burr-free channelling of the knife handle.
The Switchblade Cutters are available in 3 sizes: 3/8, 7/16, and 1/2 (so please check to see what size you need by making measurements on the knife you wish to convert)
The arbor is sized for 1/4" and larger drill chucks.
Also make sure you set the a guage and channel the handle to the correct stack clearance of the spring you wish to insert and use.
Drilling too much can weaken the handle and cause the entire center pivot area to break.
These are very sharp and cut fast so take your time with things if you are using a hand held drill.
For best and most accurate results a drill press and setting depth is suggested.
