Mikov was established in 1794 by Ignac Rosler in Czechoslovakia a few centuries before the country was formed as the Czech Republic. The company is renowned for quality manufacturing and Mikov is the largest cutlery company in the Czech Republic. The company manufactures scissors and office equipments as well as a variety of folding knives and fixed blade knives. The automatic knife they produce is a fulcrum lever similar to the German springer design. The locking pin is released when the lever is pushed forward which is the opposite to the springer design.
